Adam, yes it is in our plans for the band to play at the Groundbreaking Ceremony. We are still finalizing all the details involved, but expect to have the Band as part of the ceremony.

Yes, the construction schedule has an anticipated move in date of August 2013, making the class of 2014 the first to graduate from the new building. Also, you see the Construction Schedule is available by clicking the “School Construction” tab in the red bar at the top of screen.

I could not attend the meeting, I would like to know if the projected move in date has changed, or is still august of 2013

Yes, the construction schedule has an anticipated move in date of August 2013, making the class of 2014 the first to graduate from the new building.

Roberto, thanks for your question and for your desire to be a part of this exciting project. There will be other opportunities for you and the rest of the community to be involved.

As a district we are committed to energy conservation as a part of both the construction and operation of our new school. At this time, though, we have been advised that opportunities for the grants available for wind turbine projects have closed. In fact, I have been told by a contractor in that field that grants submitted after July 1 of this year will not have funding available. The funds requested through applications far exceeded the monies made available and it does not appear likely that governor-elect Kasich will increase funding for this type of grant.

I wanted to attend the meeting but had finals that day. My thoughts or suggestion is if there are any plans to conserve energy by installing a wind turbine?
Some schools across the country have already installed such a conservation plan and are estimating a 10% annual savings on electricity.
Some grants and incentives may be available from the Ohio Department of Development for the wind turbines.
From my understanding some of these turbines are minimal maintenance.
I was not sure if this was brought up in the meeting or was already in the plans for the new school.
